Firework Permits

Please complete the form below. Once your application has been submitted you will receive an email advising if your permit has been approved or denied within 48 to 72 hours. Permit applications are only monitored during business hours. Permits submitted during the weekend or holidays will not be reviewed by staff until the next business day.

If your permit has been approved, you will receive an electronic copy of the Permit, which you must have available to present upon request. Do not take any action until you have received the electronic permit.
 

​​Consumer Fireworks Permits permits are available for application year-round: 

• Permits are available/processed during normal Parkland County Business hours.
• ​Processing may take several days, please plan ahead to allow for processing time before your scheduled fireworks event.
• ​Notification to adjacent landowners as well as any nearby properties with livestock is required.
• No permits will be issued for Municipal Reserve (MR) or Environmental Reserve (ER) lands.
• You can apply for a fireworks permit online. Parkland County's Fire Services Bylaw requires that permits are valid for the specific dates, times and locations applied for only. (Each event requires a permit)

Display Fireworks Permits

Display Fireworks Permits are available for application year-round. Application must be made by a federally licensed display fireworks supervisor. Additional requirements apply - See Parkland County Fire Permit Services Bylaw No. 2023-17 for additional detail.
 

Regulations

It is the responsibility of the applicant to:

• Ensure all discharge of fireworks is completed in accordance with the requirements of Parkland County Fire Permit Services Bylaw No. 2023-17.
• Adhere to all permit conditions and manufacturer guidelines.
• ​Permits will be denied if the phone number and/or Municipal Address is incorrect.
• Notification to adjacent landowners as well as any nearby properties with livestock is required.
